I was first appointed to Council in July of 2017. In November of 2017, I ran to fill the remainder of the term and won. I began my current term in January of 2018. I moved to McKees Rocks in 2016. I grew up in the Pittsburgh are and after graduating from Pitt, like many others, I left in the late 1970s to find work elsewhere. I spent 30 years in California where I earned by Law Degree and worked for the Los Angeles District Attorney's Office. In 2007 I returned to Pittsbugh and lived in Crafton Heights and Robinson prior to moving to McKees Rocks.
As a member of Council I serve on serveral Council committees including: Public Safety, Contracts, Real Estate, Communications and Website (chair). I also serve as the Council representative to the Char-West Council of Governments (COG) and as a Council and citizen representative on the Re-Zoning Steering Committee.
I am excited by the redevelopment efforts currently being made. During my years in California, I chose to move to a small town that was also experiencing a renaissance. I watched my town go from gloomy to bright and vibrant through the deciated efforts of our residents and community officials. Its exciting to be part of another transformation!
