Charles “Chas” Maritz
Age 68
Of McKees Rocks
After courageously battling many years with health issues Chas passed away on Monday April 11, 2022 at the age of 68 in the VA Hospital of Oakland. He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph “Primo” and Mary Jane Maritz, his brother Joseph T. Maritz; stepbrothers Howard and Raymond Carter. He is survived by his loving Wife Sandra Metzler Maritz of 42 years, who took care of him and was his biggest supporter, loving grandfather of Chelsea Metzler, great-grandfather of Lailah, Zoey and Jaxon, stepfather of Kenneth and Matthew Metzler, as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, cousins and friends.
Family and friends are welcome on Monday April 18 from 2-8 pm at the Szal Funeral Home, Inc.
238 Helen Street McKees Rocks where funeral services will begin on Tuesday April 19, 11:15 am.
Interment will follow at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies at 1:00 pm with Full Military Honors.
