Borough of McKees Rocks Change of Garbage/Recycling Service Provider

Attention Borough Residents:

The Borough of McKees Rocks has contracted with County Hauling as our new garbage/recycling hauling company effective November 1, 2024.  A service flyer will be provided by County Hauling to all residents. This will outline details regarding garbage and recycling pick-up schedules, bulk pick-up, etc.

Waste Management will continue to provide service to our community through October 31, 2024.  Information regarding Waste Management Garbage and Recycling Totes:  The totes will be collected from all serviced residential addresses by Waste Management sometime towards the end of October 2024 (specific dates TBD).

The new garbage contact does not require specific garbage/recycling receptables, however the Borough will continue to require all residents to place their garbage and recycling in cans.  ***If any resident purchase(s) new garbage and/or recycling cans and provides a receipt to the borough administrative office by October 31, 2024 you will receive a CREDIT on your current garbage bill up to $25.00.***

Regarding billing: The Borough of McKees Rocks will continue to invoice all residents for service. Please note that invoicing will be changing to quarterly, as of October 1, 2024.  There is no change in price.  The quarterly invoice for a single residential unit will be $110.97.  4th Quarter invoices will be due by October 31, 2024 for service coverage October 1 – December 31, 2024.

If you have any questions, please contact the Borough Administrative Office during normal business hours 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM at 412-331-2498 option 1.

Regards,
