Borough of McKees Rocks Civil Service Commission Vacancy

**** UPDATE: Council voted on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 to extend accepting  Letters of Interest from borough residents for 2 (two) Alternate seats on the Civil Service Commission for 30 days. Any additional Letters of Interest received will be reviewed at the upcoming May Council meeting(s) on May 10, 2021 and May 11, 2021.***

Brief Description of Civil Service Commission: The Civil Service Commission administers tests to candidates for the position of police officer. In some instances, the commission is called upon to oral interview finalists of certain positions. The law provides for three members and as many as three alternates if one or more of the main commissioners are not available for the test.

The Borough of McKees Rocks Council is accepting Letters of Interest from applicants who are interested in filling one (1) vacancy seat on the Civil Service Commission and up to three (3) alternate seats.

Interested applicants must be a resident of the Borough of McKees Rocks for minimum of one (1) year.

Letters of Interest must be received by the Borough of McKees Rocks Administrative Office, 340 Bell Avenue McKees Rocks, PA 15136 no later than Friday, April 9, 2021 to be considered. 

The Borough of McKees Rocks Council will review all Letters of Interest and consider a motion to fill the Civil Service Commission vacancy (and up to 3 alternate seats) at the next public Council meeting on April 13, 2021 at 7:00 PM.
